Yuna - Black Mage

Black Mage Yuna - FFX-2

I love all of the funky costume designs from FFX-2 and have always wanted to cosplay a few of them. I made this costume to match 's Black Mage Rikku, and my sister joined as Paine.

Construction Details:

Outfit: A pattern was altered to create the dress and bolero. They were sewn out of a jersey knitt. The dark indigo fabric was hand dyed. Items were hand tattered. The belt, arm decorations, shoes, and strap details were done with vinyl and some wire for support.

Hat: The hat base was made with foamies and wire, it was covered in jersey knit material and details were added with felt.

Staff: The staff head was carved out of insulation foam. Styrofoam balls and paper clay were added for raised detail an then paper mache was used to cover and strengthen everything. Then everything was sanded smooth and painted with acrylics and an airbrush. The dowel was painted with acrylics - it screws apart for travel.
